======================Expanded Item Names=======================

All patches are for an unheadered 1.0 vanilla rom.

* Expanded Names - Vanilla
	For normal roms with no other mods
* Expanded Names - RAN
	For roms using the Restored Ability Names patch
* Expanded Names - C.V. Bugfix
	For roms using the C.V.Reynolds bugfix compilation patch

If using both RAN and the C.V.Bugfix patch, use "Expanded Names - RAN".

Note that the patches included with this downloaded DO NOT have these other patches in them innately; get those patches, apply them to the rom, then apply the appropriated Expanded Names patch.

The base version of Expanded Names automatically applies the GBA names, but there are two alternative options if you like. Apply these after applying the base Expanded Names patch:

* SNES Names
	Uses the classic SNES names but with proper spelling, ie ValiantKnife > Valiant Knife, Flame Shld > Flame Shield, etc

* Custom Names
	Uses some custom names of the creator's choice

Note that due to the nature of how patches work overwriting each other, applying more than one of these patches will cause the item names to mangle, as across the three they are various lengths and thus some names will not be fully overwritten. You'll have to repatch a fresh rom to fix them.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Because this patch redraws menus in the field and in battle, changes the way the game loads pieces of data, changes the dialogue script, and has a lot of new coding stored in what is empty space in the vanilla rom, COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER PATCHES IS NOT GUARANTEED

Compatibility with the Bugfix compilation patch was done due to that patch being widely used, and compatibility with Restored Ability Names was done because this project and that one are complimentary. Otherwise, compatibility is a crapshoot. That's why this thorough disassembly is included, to help other modders adjust the code to fit their needs as necessary.

However, if you are using the Bugfix compilation patch, AND Restored Ability Names, plus this patch, you will need a fourth patch. There is a conflict related to the Multi-Steal Bugfix included in the Bugfix compilation that does not allow both RAN and EIN to cooperate with it. If you are using all three of these patches, then AFTER applying the Bugfix compilation patch, apply the Multi-Steal Anti-patch included with this download, then apply RAN and then EIN.

Report any bugs to drakeclawfang1@gmail.com.

Let me know what version of the patch you were using, where the bug occurred and how, and if possible provide a save state and save file of your playfile. Please email me ONLY for bugs relating to this project with regards to RAN and the C.V.Bugfix projects; again, compatibility with other mods is out of my hands and I'm not gonna make compatibility patches for every one of them, it's just too much.

Special thanks to the FF6hacking.com community for their help and support, including madsiur, Serity, Gi Nattak, SilentEnigma, everything8215, CDude, and all others who chipped in that I may have overlooked (sorry!).
